AN ACT
1 Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for publication of names of
3 delinquent support obligors.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 23 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 4309. Publication of delinquent support obligors.
9 (a) General rule.--Any county, through its domestic
10 relations section, may publish the names of delinquent support
11 obligors who are in arrears 30 days or more in newspapers of
12 general or special circulation in the county or any other means
13 of mass communication.
14 (b) Immunity.--The county, its officials, newspapers or
15 other means of mass communications shall be immune from any and
16 all criminal and civil liability as a result of the publication
17 of names and identities under subsection (a), unless the
1 publication is a result of intentional misconduct by the county
2 or its officials.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
