                                     AN ACT

     1  Proclaiming April 13 as "Thomas Jefferson Day."

     2     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     3  hereby enacts as follows:
     4  Section 1.  "Thomas Jefferson Day."
     5     The Governor shall issue a proclamation setting apart April
     6  13 as "Thomas Jefferson Day" and recommending that it be
     7  observed annually by the people with appropriate exercises in
     8  the public schools and otherwise, as he may see fit, to the end
     9  that the memory of the service rendered by Thomas Jefferson as
    10  President of the United States may be perpetuated.
    11  Section 2.  Effective date.
    12     This act shall take effect immediately.
