AN ACT 1 Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for military leaves 3 of absence. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Section 7302(a) of Title 51 of the Pennsylvania 7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: 8 § 7302. Granting military leaves of absence. 9 (a) Enlistment or draft.--Whenever any employee shall, in 10 time of war or armed conflict, or emergency proclaimed by the 11 Governor or by the President of the United States, enlist or 12 shall, at any time, be drafted into the active military service 13 of the United States, he shall be automatically granted a 14 military leave of absence. So long as an employee is on military 15 leave of absence, he shall not be removed from his employment 16 and his duties shall either be performed by other employees or 17 by a temporary substitute. During such time he shall not receive
1 any remuneration from his civilian employer but shall be 2 entitled to continuation of medical insurance coverage for 3 dependents at the expense of the employer. 4 * * * 5 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately. C12L51VDL/19930H1107B1225 - 2 -
