AN ACT
1 Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, requiring the commission to have at least one day
3 of open bear season on a Saturday.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 2102(b) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 2102. Regulations.

10 (b) Seasons, possession, bag limits and devices.--
11 (1) The commission shall promulgate regulations relating
12 to seasons and bag limits for hunting or furtaking, the
13 possession of certain species or parts thereof, the number
14 and types of devices and equipment allowed, the
15 identification of devices and the use and possession of
16 devices. The commission, when fixing the season for taking
17 bear, shall provide that at least one day of that season be a
18 Saturday.
1 (2) If in any year the commission fails to establish
2 seasons or bag limits or fails to establish other hunting or
3 furtaking regulations under authority of this title, the open
4 seasons and bag limits for game or furbearers, Sundays
5 excepted, unless otherwise provided by this title, and all
6 other hunting or furtaking regulations adopted under
7 authority of this title, shall be the same as set by
8 regulation of the commission for the previous license year,
9 and all seasons shall open and close one calendar day earlier
10 than the previous license year. In the event the commission
11 fails to establish seasons and bag limits for a license year
12 beginning in a leap year, the seasons shall open and close
13 two calendar days earlier than the previous license year.
