                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), entitled "An
     2     act concerning townships of the second class; and amending,
     3     revising, consolidating, and changing the law relating
     4     thereto," further providing for expenses of nonemployee
     5     supervisors.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  Section 612 of the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103,
     9  No.69), known as The Second Class Township Code, reenacted and
    10  amended July 10, 1947 (P.L.1481, No.567) and amended January 28,
    11  1988 (P.L.19, No.9), is amended to read:
    12     Section 612.  Expenses and Mileage.--The expenses allowed the
    13  delegates attending the annual meeting shall be limited to the
    14  registration fee, mileage for use of a personal vehicle or
    15  reimbursement of actual transportation expense going to and
    16  returning from such meeting plus all other actual expenses that
    17  the township board of supervisors may have agreed to pay. Every
    18  delegate attending the annual meeting shall submit to the
    19  township board of supervisors an itemized account of expenses

     1  incurred thereat. The township board of supervisors may
     2  authorize township employes to be compensated at their regular
     3  employe rate during their attendance at the annual meeting. In
     4  addition, the township board of supervisors may authorize
     5  nonemploye supervisors attending the annual meeting as delegates
     6  to receive thirty-five dollars per day for each day of
     7  attendance at the annual meeting. No delegate shall receive
     8  expenses for more than four days including the time employed in
     9  traveling thereto and therefrom, together with mileage going to
    10  and returning from such meeting.
    11     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
