AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for the
3 delegation of certain governing authority from the Supreme
4 Court to other Statewide courts.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 1721 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
8 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
9 § 1721. Delegation of powers.

11 (c) Delegation to Statewide courts.--For the purposes of
12 sections 1722 (relating to adoption of administrative and
13 procedural rules), 1723 (relating to general supervisory and
14 administrative authority), 1724 (relating to personnel of the
15 system) and 1727 (relating to budget and financial matters), the
16 Supreme Court shall delegate the power to act as governing
17 authority of the Superior Court to the President Judge of the
18 Superior Court and, for the governing authority of the
1 Commonwealth Court, to the President Judge of the Commonwealth
2 Court.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
