                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Amending House Rule 74.

     2     RESOLVED, That House Rule 74 be amended to read:
     3                              RULE 74
     4                        Visitors; Television
     5     Visitors shall be admitted to the Hall of the House only when
     6  sponsored by a member. The Chief Clerk shall issue an
     7  appropriate pass to any visitor so sponsored.
     8     Persons admitted to the Hall of the House other than members
     9  and attaches, shall not be permitted to stand while the House is
    10  in session but shall be seated in chairs provided for them. At
    11  no time shall visitors be permitted on the Floor of the House
    12  while the House is in session unless so permitted by the
    13  Speaker.
    14     The permission for the presence and production by the
    15  television media, both public and other, of sessions of the
    16  House of Representatives shall be determined by the members of
    17  the House of Representatives. No public funds other than those

     1  provided to public television by the direct State budget process
     2  shall be used to provide for television coverage of sessions of
     3  the House of Representatives.
