AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for injuring or
3 tampering with emergency apparatus.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3305 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 3305. Injuring or tampering with emergency vehicles, fire
9 apparatus, hydrants, etc.
10 (a) Emergency vehicles.--Whoever intentionally or recklessly
11 damages or tampers with an emergency vehicle, as defined in 75
12 Pa.C.S. § 102 (relating to definitions), commits a misdemeanor
13 of the third degree.
14 (b) Fire equipment.--Whoever willfully and maliciously cuts,
15 injures, damages[,] or destroys or defaces any fire hydrant or
16 any fire hose or [fire engine, or] other public or private fire
17 equipment, or any apparatus appertaining to the same, commits a
1 misdemeanor of the third degree.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
