AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for sentencing
3 of law enforcement officials for violation of drug laws.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 9720. Sentences for law enforcement officers convicted of
9 drug offenses.
10 In addition to any sentence of imprisonment or other
11 disposition, the sentencing court shall order the dismissal of
12 any law enforcement officer who is convicted of any violation of
13 the act of April 14, 1972 (P.L.233, No.64), known as The
14 Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
