AN ACT
1 Making appropriations from a restricted revenue account within
2 the General Fund and from Federal augmentation funds to the
3 Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, the Office of
4 Consumer Advocate in the Office of the Attorney General and
5 the Office of Small Business Advocate in the Department of
6 Commerce.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
10 necessary, are specifically appropriated from the restricted
11 revenue account within the General Fund and from Federal
12 augmentation funds to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
13 to provide for the operation of the commission for the fiscal
14 year July 1, 1992, to June 30, 1993, for the purposes and in the
15 amounts shown:
16 Federal State
17 (1) For the salaries, wages
18 and all necessary expenses for the
19 proper operation and administration
1 of the Pennsylvania Public Utility
2 Commission, including the chairman
3 and commissioners and the Bureau of
4 Safety and Enforcement.
5 State appropriation........ $34,014,000
6 (i) The following Federal
7 augmentation amounts, or as
8 much thereof as may be
9 necessary, are specifically
10 appropriated to supplement the
11 sum authorized to be billed to
12 utilities for the operation of
13 the commission:
14 (A) "Natural Gas
15 Pipeline Safety" - To
16 enforce the regulations of
17 the Natural Gas Pipeline
18 Safety Act.
19 Federal appropriation...... 115,000
20 Any Federal funds which the
21 Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
22 receives pursuant to these
23 appropriations shall not be credited
24 to any utility nor used to lower the
25 annual assessment of any utility.
26 Section 2. The sum of $3,439,000 is hereby appropriated from
27 the restricted revenue account within the General Fund to the
28 Office of Consumer Advocate in the Office of the Attorney
29 General to provide for the operation of that office for the
30 fiscal year July 1, 1992, to June 30, 1993.

1 Section 3. The sum of $735,000 is hereby appropriated from
2 the restricted revenue account within the General Fund to the
3 Office of Small Business Advocate in the Department of Commerce
4 to provide for the operation of that office for the fiscal year
5 July 1, 1992, to June 30, 1993.
6 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 1992, or
7 immediately, whichever is later.
