AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 3, 1986 (P.L.388, No.84), entitled "An
2 act requiring public agencies to hold certain meetings and
3 hearings open to the public; and providing penalties,"
4 providing for public comments during meetings.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The act of July 3, 1986 (P.L.388, No.84), known
8 as the Sunshine Act, is amended by adding a section to read:
9 Section 10.1. Public comment.
10 Members of the public in attendance at a meeting shall be
11 given a reasonable period of time during each meeting to address
12 the agency. Rules and regulations adopted under section 10 shall
13 not unreasonably restrict the right provided for in this
14 section, but the rules and regulations may provide for the time
15 during the meeting when comments are allowed.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
