AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for authority of qualified employees of
3 Department of Transportation and Department of Revenue.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6312. Authority of qualified employees of department and
9 Department of Revenue.
10 Employees of the department and the Department of Revenue,
11 who have completed a training program approved by the respective
12 secretaries of both departments, shall be authorized to
13 institute criminal proceedings by citation pursuant to the
14 Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure for violations of the
15 provisions of Chapters 13 (relating to registration of
16 vehicles), 21 (relating to motor carriers road tax
17 identification markers) and 96 (relating to the motor carriers
18 road tax).
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
