HOUSE BILL

        AS AMENDED ON THIRD CONSIDERATION, IN SENATE, DECEMBER 10, 1991

                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of General Services,
     2     with the approval of the Department of Public Welfare and the
     3     Governor, to grant and convey to Cambria County land situate
     4     in the Township and Borough of Cresson, Cambria County,
     5     Pennsylvania.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  The Department of General Services, with the
     9  approval of the Department of Public Welfare and the Governor,
    10  is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the Commonwealth
    11  of Pennsylvania to grant and convey TO CAMBRIA COUNTY, for a      <--
    12  consideration of one dollar, the following tract of land and
    13  improvements erected thereon lying in the Township and Borough
    14  of Cresson, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described
    15  as follows:
    16     Beginning at a point on the Cresson Borough line, said point
    17  being the intersection of the west side of Township Road 430,
    18  said road also being referred to as Country Club Road, with the
    19  north side of Chestnut Alley, said alley being a part of the

     1  plan of the Borough of Cresson; thence along the north side of
     2  said Chestnut Alley north 78 degrees 41 minutes west 466.75
     3  feet, more or less; thence along the property line of Sunderland
     4  and Glunt north 91 degrees 51 minutes east 416.84 feet, more or
     5  less, to the Cresson Borough line; thence continuing north 01
     6  degree 51 minutes east 255.25 feet, more or less, thence north
     7  07 degrees 29 minutes east 97.84 feet, more or less, to the
     8  south side of Powell Avenue; thence along the south side of said
     9  Powell Avenue south 81 degrees 59 minutes east 500.78 feet, more
    10  or less, to the west side of the aforementioned Country Club
    11  Road; thence along the west side of said road the following two
    12  courses and distances: south 06 degrees 23 minutes west 98.00
    13  feet, more or less, and south 02 degrees 57 minutes west 50.81
    14  feet, more or less; thence crossing said Country Club Road and
    15  along the property line of the Parrish Plan of Lots south 78
    16  degrees 15 minutes 45 seconds east 1381.18 feet, more or less,
    17  to the north side of a sixteen-foot alley; thence along the
    18  north side of said alley south 49 degrees 26 minutes 55 seconds
    19  west 812.20 feet, more or less, to the north side of the
    20  aforementioned Chestnut Alley; thence along the north side of
    21  said alley north 77 degrees 58 minutes 05 seconds west 772.00
    22  feet, more or less, to the east side of the aforementioned
    23  Country Club Road; thence crossing said road north 81 degrees 36
    24  minutes 35 seconds west 39.98 feet, more or less, to the point
    25  and place of beginning.
    26     Containing 24.84 acres, more or less, of which 3.47 acres,
    27  more or less, lies within the Borough of Cresson.
    28     Section 2.  The conveyance shall be made under and subject to
    29  all easements, servitudes and rights of others, including, but
    30  not confined to, streets, roadways and rights of any telephone,

     1  telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as
     2  well as under and subject to any interest, estates or tenancies
     3  vested in third persons, whether or not appearing of record, for
     4  any portion of the land or improvements erected thereon.
     5     Section 3.  The deed of conveyance shall be approved as
     6  provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of
     7  General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
     8  Pennsylvania.
     9     Section 4.  Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance
    10  shall be borne by the grantee.
    11     Section 5.  This act shall take effect immediately.
