AN ACT 1 Making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric 2 Medicine, Philadelphia. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. The sum of $1,027,000 is hereby appropriated to 6 the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, 7 for the fiscal year July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, for 8 instruction in the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program. The 9 final payment totaling no less than 25% of this appropriation is 10 contingent on the Secretary of Education certifying to the 11 General Assembly that the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric 12 Medicine has fully cooperated in the Department of Education's 13 efforts to fulfill the requirements of the higher education 14 accountability appropriation to the Department of Education. 15 Section 2. Payments to the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric 16 Medicine on account of the appropriation provided in section 1 17 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the
1 basis of costs during the fiscal year. 2 Section 3. The Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine 3 shall provide full, complete and accurate information as may be 4 required by the Department of Education or the Majority Chairman 5 or the Minority Chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the 6 Senate or the Majority Chairman or the Minority Chairman of the 7 Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives. 8 Section 4. The Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine 9 shall report its revenues and expenditures and present its 10 financial statements in accordance with generally accepted 11 accounting principles and procedures for educational 12 institutions as set forth in the "Higher Education Finance 13 Manual (1975)" and the "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget 14 Instructions for the State System of Higher Education, State- 15 Related Universities and Non-State-Related Colleges and 16 Universities." 17 Section 5.
