AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
3 prostitution and related offenses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 5902(e) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 5902. Prostitution and related offenses.

10 (e) Patronizing prostitutes.--A person commits a summary
11 offense if he hires a prostitute or any other person who is 16
12 years of age or older to engage in sexual activity with him, or
13 if he enters or remains in a house of prostitution for the
14 purpose of engaging in sexual activity. A person commits a
15 misdemeanor of the third degree if the person hires a prostitute
16 or any other person who is under 16 years of age, whether or not
17 the person is aware of the age of the child.
