                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 17, 1921 (P.L.682, No.284), entitled "An
     2     act relating to insurance; amending, revising, and
     3     consolidating the law providing for the incorporation of
     4     insurance companies, and the regulation, supervision, and
     5     protection of home and foreign insurance companies, Lloyds
     6     associations, reciprocal and inter-insurance exchanges, and
     7     fire insurance rating bureaus, and the regulation and
     8     supervision of insurance carried by such companies,
     9     associations, and exchanges, including insurance carried by
    10     the State Workmen's Insurance Fund; providing penalties; and
    11     repealing existing laws," further providing for the delivery
    12     of certain life insurance policies within 30 days.

    13     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    14  hereby enacts as follows:
    15     Section 1.  The introductory paragraph of section 410 of the
    16  act of May 17, 1921 (P.L.682, No.284), known as The Insurance
    17  Company Law of 1921, amended July 19, 1951 (P.L.1100, No.245),
    18  is amended to read:
    19     Section 410.  Uniform Policy Provisions.--[No policy of life
    20  or endowment insurance] All policies of life or endowment
    21  insurance, except policies of industrial insurance where the
    22  premiums are payable monthly or oftener, shall hereafter be


     1  delivered in this Commonwealth [unless it contains] to the
     2  applicant within thirty days from the date of issue and shall
     3  contain, in substance, the following provisions or provisions
     4  which, in the opinion of the Insurance Commissioner, are more
     5  favorable to the policyholder:--

     7     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1991.
