AN ACT 1 Making appropriations from a restricted revenue account within 2 the General Fund and from Federal augmentation funds to the 3 Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission AND THE OFFICE OF <-- 4 CONSUMER ADVOCATE. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. The following sums, or as much thereof as may be 8 necessary, are specifically appropriated from the restricted 9 revenue account within the General Fund and from Federal 10 augmentation funds to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission 11 to provide for the operation of the commission for the fiscal 12 year July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, for the purposes and in the 13 amounts shown: 14 Federal State 15 (1) For the salaries, wages 16 and all necessary expenses for the 17 proper operation and administration
1 of the Pennsylvania Public Utility 2 Commission, excluding the chairman 3 and commissioners and the Bureau of 4 Safety and Enforcement. 5 State appropriation........ $26,559,000 6 (i) The following Federal 7 augmentation amounts, or as 8 much thereof as may be 9 necessary, are specifically 10 appropriated to supplement the 11 sum authorized to be billed to 12 utilities for the operation of 13 the commission: 14 (A) "Natural Gas 15 Pipeline Safety" - To 16 enforce the regulations of 17 the Natural Gas Pipeline 18 Safety Act. 19 Federal appropriation...... 100,000 <-- 20 FEDERAL APPROPRIATION...... 115,000 <-- 21 Any Federal funds which the 22 Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission 23 receives pursuant to these 24 appropriations shall not be credited 25 to any utility nor used to lower the 26 annual assessment of any utility. 27 For the salaries, wages and all 28 necessary expenses for the chairman 29 and the commissioners. 30 State appropriation........ 475,000 19910H0547B2138 - 2 -

8 OFFICE OF CONSUMER ADVOCATE TO PROVIDE FOR THE OPERATION OF THAT
9 OFFICE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1991, TO JUNE 30, 1992.
