AN ACT
1 Amending the act of November 26, 1978 (P.L.1212, No.286),
2 entitled "An act authorizing an employee to inspect certain
3 personnel files of his employer," further defining "employee"
4 to include former school district employees.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The definition of "employee" in section 1 of the
8 act of November 26, 1978 (P.L.1212, No.286), referred to as the
9 Inspection of Employment Records Law, amended November 29, 1990
10 (P.L.596, No.149), is amended to read:
11 Section 1. Definitions.
12 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
13 have, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the
14 meanings given to them in this section:
15 "Employee." Any person currently employed, laid off with
16 reemployment rights or on leave of absence. The term "employee"
17 shall not include applicants for employment or any other person.
18 The term "employee" shall also include any former school
