AN ACT
1 Excluding the sale of recyclable material from municipal <--
2 POLITICAL SUBDIVISION personal property sale restrictions <--
3 RELATING TO ADVERTISING AND BIDDING. <--
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Definitions.
7 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
8 have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
9 context clearly indicates otherwise:
10 "Municipality." "POLITICAL SUBDIVISION." Any county, city, <--
11 borough, incorporated town, township, SCHOOL DISTRICT or home <--
12 rule municipality.
13 Section 2. Exclusion.
14 A municipality POLITICAL SUBDIVISION shall not be subject to <--
1 requirements OF ADVERTISING AND BIDDING otherwise imposed by law <--
2 for the sale of personal property owned by the municipality <--
3 POLITICAL SUBDIVISION when selling recyclable material or <--
4 material separated, collected, recovered or created by recycling <--
5 A RECYCLING PROGRAM AUTHORIZED BY THE POLITICAL SUBDIVISION. <--
6 Section 3. Effective date.
7 This act shall take effect immediately.
