SENATE BILL

        REFERRED TO TRANSPORTATION, JUNE 26, 1989

                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating the Birmingham Bridge in Pittsburgh, Allegheny
     2     County, as the James A. Romanelli Bridge; and making a
     3     repeal.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  The bridge known as the Birmingham Bridge in
     7  Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, formerly known as the Brady Street
     8  Bridge, is hereby designated and shall be known as the James A.
     9  Romanelli Bridge.
    10     Section 2.  The Department of Transportation shall erect
    11  appropriate signs or markers to evidence the name of the bridge.
    12     Section 3.  The act of November 2, 1977 (P.L.220, No.67),
    13  entitled "An act changing the name of the 'Brady Street Bridge'
    14  in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County to the 'Birmingham Bridge,'" is
    15  repealed.
    16     Section 4.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
