A RESOLUTION 1 Recognizing the accomplishments of the Hugh O'Brian Youth 2 Foundation's Pennsylvania Leadership Seminars. 3 WHEREAS, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is committed to 4 promoting the leadership qualities of its citizens; and 5 WHEREAS, The leadership qualities of Pennsylvania's elected 6 officials have served as role models of civic responsibility for 7 our youth; and 8 WHEREAS, The Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation has contributed 9 significantly to the betterment of this Commonwealth through its 10 leadership training of Pennsylvania's citizens; and 11 WHEREAS, The citizens of this Commonwealth, through the 12 efforts of many civic organizations, were instrumental in 13 starting the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation in this Commonwealth; 14 and 15 WHEREAS, The academic community supports the Hugh O'Brian
1 Youth Foundation by offering scholarships to its alumni at State 2 colleges and universities; and 3 WHEREAS, Approximately 180 students are attending the Eastern 4 leadership seminar being held in King of Prussia from April 6 5 through April 8, 1990; therefore be it 6 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 7 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania celebrate the Eastern Pennsylvania 8 Leadership Seminars and congratulate the Hugh O'Brian Youth 9 Foundation for its exemplary work in seeking out and training 10 Pennsylvania's leaders of tomorrow.
