        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, APRIL 4, 1990

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Memorializing the Governor and the Secretary of Public Welfare
     2     to investigate the possibility of utilizing unused former
     3     State hospital facilities as drug treatment centers.

     4     WHEREAS, There is a great need for drug treatment centers
     5  throughout this Commonwealth; and
     6     WHEREAS, There are many unused former State hospital
     7  facilities in this Commonwealth, such as the former Dixmont
     8  State Hospital; therefore be it
     9     RESOLVED, That the Senate memorialize the Governor and the
    10  Secretary of Public Welfare to investigate the possibility of
    11  utilizing unused former State hospital facilities, including the
    12  former Dixmont State Hospital, as drug treatment centers.
