                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the revocation
     3     of a license to carry a firearm.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 6109(i) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 6109.  Licenses.
     9     * * *
    10     (i)  Revocation.--A license to carry firearms may be revoked
    11  by the issuing authority for good cause. An individual's license
    12  to carry a firearm shall be revoked if he lends, gives or allows
    13  an unlicensed individual to use his firearm and the unlicensed
    14  individual uses the firearm in an unlawful manner. Notice of
    15  revocation shall be in writing and shall state the reason for
    16  revocation. Notice shall be sent by certified mail, and, at that
    17  time, a copy shall be forwarded to the commissioner. An


     1  individual whose license is revoked shall surrender the license
     2  to the issuing authority within five days of receipt of the
     3  notice. An individual who violates this section commits a
     4  summary offense.

     6     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
