AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," further providing for the payment of
6 the economic supplement.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Section 2502.11 of the act of March 10, 1949
10 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is
11 amended by adding a subsection to read:
12 Section 2502.11. Economic Supplement.--* * *
13 (e) For the 1988-1989 school year and each school year
14 thereafter, any school district not already qualifying for
15 payments under subsection (d) shall qualify for such payments
16 under said section if the district had qualified for payments
17 under subsection (c) or (d) for the prior year. A district shall <--
18 qualify for payments under this subsection for three (3) school
19 years in succession or until it requalifies for payments under
1 subsection (d), whichever comes first.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
