HOUSE BILL

        SENATOR TILGHMAN, APPROPRIATIONS, IN SENATE, RE-REPORTED AS
           AMENDED, JUNE 29, 1990

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric
     2     Medicine, Philadelphia.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The sum of $1,191,000 $1,369,000 is hereby         <--
     6  appropriated to the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine,
     7  Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1, 1990, to June 30,
     8  1991, for instruction in the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
     9  program.
    10     Section 2.  Payments to the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric
    11  Medicine on account of the appropriation provided in section 1
    12  shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the
    13  basis of costs during the fiscal year.
    14     Section 3.  The Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine
    15  shall provide such information as may be necessary to carry out
    16  the provisions of this act and in such form and manner as the


     1  Department of Education shall prescribe.
     2     Section 4.  The Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine
     3  shall report its revenues and expenditures and present its
     4  financial statements in accordance with generally accepted
     5  accounting principles and procedures for educational
     6  institutions as set forth in the "Higher Education Finance
     7  Manual (1975)" and the "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget
     8  Instructions for the State System of Higher Education, State-
     9  Related Universities and Non-State-Related Colleges and
    10  Universities."
    11     Section 5.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1990, or
    12  immediately, whichever is later.
