AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to The Medical College of Pennsylvania,
2 East Falls, Philadelphia.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $2,881,000 is hereby appropriated to
6 The Medical College of Pennsylvania located in East Falls,
7 Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1, 1990, to June 30,
8 1991, for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine program.
9 Section 2. The sum of $915,000 is hereby appropriated to The
10 Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, for the fiscal
11 year July 1, 1990, to June 30, 1991, for the general maintenance
12 of The Medical College of Pennsylvania, including the School of
13 Allied Health, and student aid.
14 Section 3. Payments to The Medical College of Pennsylvania
15 on account of the appropriations provided in sections 1 and 2
16 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the
17 basis of costs during the fiscal year.
1 Section 4. The Medical College of Pennsylvania shall provide
2 such information as may be necessary to carry out the provisions
3 of this act and in such form and manner as the Department of
4 Education shall prescribe.
5 Section 5. The Medical College of Pennsylvania shall report
6 its revenues and expenditures and present its financial
7 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting
8 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set
9 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual (1975)" and the
10 "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget Instructions for the State
11 System of Higher Education, State-Related Universities and Non-
12 State-Related Colleges and Universities."
13 Section 6. This act shall take effect July 1, 1990, or
14 immediately, whichever is later.
