AN ACT
1 Making appropriations from the Workmen's Compensation
2 Administration Fund to the Department of Labor and Industry
3 to provide for the expenses of administering The Pennsylvania
4 Workmen's Compensation Act and The Pennsylvania Occupational
5 Disease Act for the fiscal year July 1, 1990, to June 30,
6 1991, and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining
7 unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1990.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. The sum of $19,911,000 (A) SUBJECT TO THE <--
11 ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS UNDER SUBSECTION (B), THE SUM OF
12 $19,361,000, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby
13 appropriated from the Workmen's Compensation Administration Fund
14 to the Department of Labor and Industry for the payment of all
15 salaries, wages and other compensation and travel expenses, for
16 contractual services and other expenses necessary for the
17 administration of the act of June 2, 1915 (P.L.736, No.338),
18 known as The Pennsylvania Workmen's Compensation Act, and the
19 act of June 21, 1939 (P.L.566, No.284), known as The
1 Pennsylvania Occupational Disease Act, for the fiscal year
2 beginning July 1, 1990, and for the payment of bills incurred
3 and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June
4 30, 1990.
5 (B) NO FUNDS FROM THE APPROPRIATION IN SUBSECTION (A) SHALL <--
6 BE USED TO PAY FOR ANY DIRECT COST TRANSFERS BETWEEN THE
7 APPROPRIATION IN SUBSECTION (A) AND THE APPROPRIATION FOR
8 GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND
9 INDUSTRY.
10 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1990, or
11 immediately, whichever is later.
