AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the
3 number of court of common pleas judges in the First Judicial
4 District and for the divisions of the Court of Common Pleas
5 of Philadelphia County.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Sections 911(a) and 951(a) of Title 42 of the
9 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:
10 § 911. Courts of common pleas.
11 (a) General rule.--
12 (1) There shall be one court of common pleas for each
13 judicial district of this Commonwealth consisting of the
14 following number of judges:

28 (2) The number of judges in the First Judicial District
29 shall consist of the number of judges provided for in
30 paragraph (1) and such additional judges, if any, as may be

1 added by the act of (P.L. , No. ) known as
2 the Drug-Crime Emergency Response Act of 1990.

4 § 951. Court divisions.
5 (a) Philadelphia County.--The Court of Common Pleas of
6 Philadelphia County shall have the following divisions:
7 (1) Trial division.
8 (2) Orphans' court division.
9 (3) Family court division.
10 (4) Drug cases division.
11 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
