           AMENDED, JUNE 30, 1989

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making an appropriation APPROPRIATIONS to the Delaware Valley     <--
     2     College of Science and Agriculture at Doylestown.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The sum of $424,000 $459,000 $424,000 is hereby    <--
     6  appropriated to the Delaware Valley College of Science and
     7  Agriculture at Doylestown, for the fiscal year July 1, 1989, to
     8  June 30, 1990, for instruction and student aid.
     9     SECTION 2.  IN ADDITION TO THE SUM APPROPRIATED UNDER SECTION  <--
    10  1, THE SUM OF $100,000 $200,000 IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED TO THE     <--
    11  DELAWARE VALLEY COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE AT
    12  DOYLESTOWN, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1989, TO JUNE 30, 1990,
    13  FOR THE JAMES A. MICHENER CENTER FOR THE ARTS.
    14     Section 2 3.  Payments to the Delaware Valley College of       <--
    15  Science and Agriculture on account of the appropriation provided
    16  in section 1 shall be made by the Secretary of Education in


     1  equal quarterly payments.
     2     Section 3 4.  The Delaware Valley College of Science and       <--
     3  Agriculture shall provide such information as may be necessary
     4  to carry out the provisions of this act and in such form and
     5  manner as the Department of Education shall prescribe.
     6     Section 4 5.  The Delaware Valley College of Science and       <--
     7  Agriculture shall report its revenues and expenditures and
     8  present its financial statements in accordance with generally
     9  accepted accounting principles and procedures for educational
    10  institutions as set forth in the "Higher Education Finance
    11  Manual (1975)" and the "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget
    12  Instructions for the State System of Higher Education, State-
    13  Related Universities and Non-State-Related Colleges and
    14  Universities."
    15     Section 5 6.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1989, or      <--
    16  immediately, whichever is later.
