AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for driving under the influence
3 of alcohol or controlled substance.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3731(e) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
8 § 3731. Driving under influence of alcohol or controlled
9 substance.

11 (e) Penalty.--

13 (9) Any person violating any of the provisions of this
14 section is liable for up to $1,000 of the reasonable costs
15 incurred by the Commonwealth or a political subdivision in
16 making an appropriate emergency response to the incident
17 caused by the violation.

2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
