           TRUMAN, OLIVER AND ACOSTA, JULY 1, 1987

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, JULY 2, 1987

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Directing the Health and Welfare Committee to investigate the
     2     operation of the Woodhaven Center.

     3     WHEREAS, Certain questions have arisen concerning alleged
     4  violations and abuses occurring at the Woodhaven Center of
     5  Temple University; therefore be it
     6     RESOLVED, That the Health and Welfare Committee investigate
     7  the Woodhaven Center; and be it further
     8     RESOLVED, That the committee may hold hearings, take
     9  testimony and make its investigations at such places as it deems
    10  necessary in this Commonwealth. Each member of the committee
    11  shall have power to administer oaths and affirmations to
    12  witnesses appearing before the committee; and be it further
    13     RESOLVED, That the committee make a report of its findings
    14  and recommendations to the House of Representatives as soon as
    15  possible.
