        INTRODUCED BY HUGHES, RICHARDSON, FATTAH, LINTON, PISTELLA,
           KUKOVICH, DAWIDA, OLIVER, JOSEPHS, TRUMAN, WIGGINS, HAYDEN,
           LaGROTTA, MAINE, MELIO, RITTER, CORRIGAN, WAMBACH AND
           LEVDANSKY, MARCH 18, 1987

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, APRIL 6, 1987

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Directing the Health and Welfare Committee to investigate the
     2     Health-Pass program.

     3     WHEREAS, There exists in the City of Philadelphia an
     4  experimental health-care program known as the Health-Pass
     5  program; and
     6     WHEREAS, If successful, this program may replace the Medicaid
     7  program; and
     8     WHEREAS, There have been difficulties in the operation of the
     9  program which have resulted in the delay or denial of needed
    10  health care; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the Health and Welfare Committee investigate
    12  the operation of the Health-Pass program; and be it further
    13     RESOLVED, That the committee may hold hearings, take
    14  testimony and make its investigations at such places as it deems
    15  necessary in this Commonwealth. Each member of the committee
    16  shall have power to administer oaths and affirmations to
    17  witnesses appearing before the committee; and be it further

     1     RESOLVED, That the committee make a report of its findings
     2  and recommendations to the House of Representatives as soon as
     3  possible.
