AN ACT
1 Amending Title 71 (State Government) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, establishing a procedure for payment
3 of pension funds pursuant to a court order.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 71 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 5711. Court-ordered payments.
9 The board shall establish a procedure to comply with any
10 court-ordered division of marital property involving an annuity
11 subject to this title, or court-ordered alimony. The court-
12 ordered amount of pension benefits shall be paid directly to the
13 spouse or former spouse of the annuitant as provided for in the
14 court order.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
