AN ACT 1 Requiring the repayment of advances to the Unemployment 2 Compensation Fund from the Federal unemployment account in 3 the Unemployment Trust Fund. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Short title. 7 This act shall be known and may be cited as the Unemployment 8 Trust Fund Repayment Act. 9 Section 2. Repayment. 10 (a) Declaration of policy.--The General Assembly finds and 11 declares that, if the balance of advances made to the 12 Unemployment Compensation Fund from the Federal unemployment 13 account in the Unemployment Trust Fund under Title XII of the 14 Social Security Act (Public Law 74-271, 42 U.S.C. § 1321 et
1 seq.), are not repayed by November 10, 1988, thus retiring all 2 outstanding unemployment compensation loans owed and debt 3 incurred by the Commonwealth as of November 10, 1988, Federal 4 unemployment tax credit loss penalties under section 3302 of the 5 Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (Public Law 99-514, 26 U.S.C. § 6 3302) will be imposed upon Commonwealth employers. 7 (b) Execution.--By November 10, 1988, the Governor shall 8 repay, from the Unemployment Compensation Fund, the balance of 9 advances made to the Unemployment Compensation Fund from the 10 Federal unemployment account in the Unemployment Trust Fund 11 under Title XII of the Social Security Act, thus retiring all 12 outstanding unemployment compensation loans owed and debt 13 incurred by the Commonwealth as of November 10, 1988. 14 Section 3.
