AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Hahnemann University, Philadelphia,
2 Pennsylvania.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $4,615,000 is hereby appropriated
6 to the Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the
7 fiscal year July 1, 1987, to June 30, 1988, for instruction in
8 the Doctor of Medicine program.
9 (b) The sum of $477,000 $702,000 is hereby appropriated to <--
10 the Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the
11 fiscal year July 1, 1987, to June 30, 1988, for the general
12 maintenance of the Hahnemann University, including the Allied
13 Health, Professions and Graduate School of the Hahnemann
14 University, and student aid.
15 Section 2. Payments to the Hahnemann University on account
16 of the appropriations provided in section 1 shall be made
1 quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the basis of costs
2 during the fiscal year.
3 Section 3. The Hahnemann University shall provide such
4 information as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of
5 this act and in such form and manner as the Department of
6 Education shall prescribe.
7 Section 4. The Hahnemann University shall report its
8 revenues and expenditures and present its financial statements
9 in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and
10 procedures for educational institutions as set forth in the
11 "Higher Education Finance Manual (1975)" and the "Commonwealth
12 of Pennsylvania Budget Instructions for the State System of
13 Higher Education, State Related Universities and Non State
14 Related Colleges and Universities."
15 Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 1987, or
16 immediately, whichever is later.
