AN ACT
1 Requiring the Department of General Services to conduct certain
2 restricted auctions of surplus property solely for the
3 benefit of municipalities.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Restricted auction.
7 The Department of General Services shall hold a restricted
8 auction at least once a year, solely for the benefit of
9 municipalities within this Commonwealth.
10 Section 2. Certain surplus property.
11 All vehicles, equipment and supplies which have been declared
12 to be surplus property shall be offered for auction sale by the
13 Department of General Services to municipalities within this
14 Commonwealth. The terms and conditions of the auction shall be
15 determined by the department.
16 Section 3. Notice.
17 The department shall give at least 60 days' notice in advance
1 of the restricted auction to each municipality.
2 Section 4. Remaining property.
3 All property which is not purchased at the restricted auction
4 shall be auctioned at the next public auction.
5 Section 5. Effective date.
6 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
