AN ACT 1 Amending the act of July 10, 1981 (P.L.214, No.67), entitled "An 2 act relating to the lawful conduct of bingo, prescribing 3 penalties and making a repeal," further providing for the 4 operation and conducting of bingo. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Section 5(a) of the act of July 10, 1981 8 (P.L.214, No.67), known as the Bingo Law, amended December 15, 9 1982 (P.L.1299, No.293), is amended to read: 10 Section 5. Rules for licensing and operation. 11 (a) Issuance and fee.--The licensing authority shall 12 license, upon application, any association as defined in section 13 3 to conduct the game of bingo only at one location in the 14 county, which shall be in the municipality where the main 15 business office or headquarters of the association is located. 16 The county treasurer shall indicate on each license the
1 municipality where the association may conduct bingo. The single 2 municipal location limitation shall not apply to a group of 3 licensed associations conducting bingo at a central location. 4 The license fee to be charged to each nonprofit association 5 shall be $100 per annum except to those recognized senior 6 citizens' groups who conduct bingo for their members only the 7 fee shall be $50 per annum. The license fee to be charged to 8 each agricultural association or county fair shall be $100 per 9 annum. Associations which conduct bingo only one period each 10 year for not more than three consecutive days shall be charged 11 $15 for the issuance of their license. The fees collected 12 pursuant to this section shall be paid by the licensing 13 authority into the general fund of the county and used for 14 county purposes. All records retained by the licensing authority 15 relating to the issuance of bingo licenses and bingo permits 16 shall be public information. 17 * * * 18 Section 2.
