                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the utilization of headlights
     3     during certain periods of rain or snow.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 4302 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 4302.  Period for requiring lighted lamps.
     9     Every vehicle upon a highway at any time between sunset and
    10  sunrise, during any period of rain or snow when windshield
    11  wipers are used and at any other time when, due to insufficient
    12  light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions, persons and
    13  vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible from a
    14  distance of 1000 feet ahead shall display lighted head and other
    15  lamps and illuminating devices as required under this chapter
    16  for different classes of vehicles, subject to exceptions with
    17  respect to parked vehicles. Stop lights, turn signals and other
    18  signaling devices shall be lighted as prescribed in this title.

     1     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
