                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, prohibiting fire police vehicles from being
     3     equipped with a combination of red and blue lights.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 4571(b) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 4571.  Visual and audible signals on emergency vehicles.
     9     * * *
    10     (b)  Police, fire and coroner or medical examiner vehicles.--
    11         (1)  Police, coroner[,] or medical examiner [or fire
    12     police] vehicles may in addition to the requirements of
    13     subsection (a) be equipped with revolving or flashing blue
    14     lights. The combination of red and blue lights may be used
    15     only on police, coroner[,] or medical examiner [or fire
    16     police] vehicles.
    17         (2)  Unmarked police vehicles, used as emergency vehicles
    18     and equipped with audible warning systems, may be equipped

     1     with the lights described in this section.
     2         (3)  Police and fire vehicles may be equipped with a
     3     mounted rack containing one or more emergency warning lights
     4     or side mounted floodlights or alley lights or all such
     5     lights.

     7     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
