AN ACT
1 Designating December 7th as "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day."
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. Designation of "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day."
5 In honor of the brave veterans who fought and died in the
6 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7th of each year is
7 designated as "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day."
8 Section 2. Governor requested to issue proclamation.
9 The Governor is authorized and requested to issue a
10 proclamation each year calling upon the people of this
11 Commonwealth to commemorate the members of the armed services
12 who fought and died at Pearl Harbor and to observe the day with
13 appropriate honors, ceremonies and prayers.
14 Section 3. Effective date.
15 This act shall take effect immediately.
