AN ACT 1 Amending the act of December 22, 1983 (P.L.306, No.84), entitled 2 "An act providing for the State Board of Vehicle 3 Manufacturers, Dealers and Salespersons; and providing 4 penalties," exempting from certain board approval all vehicle 5 shows and exhibitions conducted during and at certain fairs, <-- 6 OR CONDUCTED BY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. 7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 8 hereby enacts as follows: 9 Section 1. Section 23 of the act of December 22, 1983 10 (P.L.306, No.84), known as the Board of Vehicles Act, is amended 11 by adding a subsection to read: 12 Section 23. Vehicle shows and exhibitions. 13 * * * 14 (e) Exemption.--Any vehicle show or exhibition held as a <-- 15 part of, and in conjunction with, a community or agricultural 16 fair which receives funds from the Pennsylvania Fair Fund, shall 17 be exempt from the provisions of this section. 18 (E) EXEMPTION.--THIS SECTION SHALL NOT APPLY TO A VEHICLE <--
1 SHOW OR EXHIBITION HELD AS PART OF, AND IN CONJUNCTION WITH, THE 2 FOLLOWING: 3 (1) AN EVENT OPERATED TO BENEFIT A CHARITABLE 4 ORGANIZATION OR GROUP OF CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS APPROVED 5 UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1954 6 (68A STAT. 3, 26 U.S.C. § 501(C)(3)). 7 (2) A COMMUNITY OR AGRICULTURAL FAIR WHICH RECEIVES 8 FUNDS FROM THE PENNSYLVANIA FAIR FUND. 9 Section 2.
