                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled
     2     "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth,
     3     sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising,
     4     consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto,"
     5     further authorizing appropriations to tourist promotion
     6     agencies.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Section 1986 of the act of August 9, 1955
    10  (P.L.323, No.130), known as The County Code, added August 13,
    11  1963 (P.L.669, No.348), is amended to read:
    12     Section 1986.  Appropriations to Tourist Promotion
    13  Agencies.--The board of commissioners may appropriate, annually,
    14  such amount of money but not in excess of [ten cents (10¢)]
    15  thirty-five cents (35¢) for each resident of the county, as
    16  determined by the last census, which may be deemed necessary to
    17  any "tourist promotion agency" as defined in the act of April
    18  28, 1961 (P.L.111), known as the "Tourist Promotion Law," to


     1  assist such agencies in carrying out tourist promotional
     2  activities.
     3     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
