A RESOLUTION
1 Urging the Governor to proclaim Sunday, November 10, 1985, as
2 "Pennsylvania Retired Educators Day."
3 WHEREAS, Retired educators deserve recognition for their many
4 years of dedicated service in our schools; and
5 WHEREAS, It would be appropriate to designate a specific day
6 as a day of recognition of our retired educators; and
7 WHEREAS, A resolution has been introduced in Congress to
8 designate Sunday, November 10, 1985, as "National Retired
9 Educators Day"; therefore be it
10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives hereby urges the
11 Governor to proclaim Sunday, November 10, 1985, as "Pennsylvania
12 Retired Educators Day"; and be it further
13 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be immediately
14 transmitted to the Governor.
