AN ACT
1 Requiring the removal of asbestos in schools; and prohibiting
2 students from occupying buildings with asbestos.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Asbestos removal; school buildings.
6 Wherever asbestos materials are found to exist in educational
7 structures in this Commonwealth, they shall be removed by the
8 Department of Education. Neither school personnel nor students
9 shall use or occupy an educational facility containing asbestos
10 material.
11 Section 2. Effective date.
12 This act shall take effect July 1, 1988.
