AN ACT
1 Amending the act of May 29, 1956 (1955 P.L.1840, No.610),
2 entitled, as amended, "An act defining and providing for the
3 licensing of water well drillers; prevention of pollution of
4 underground waters; conferring powers and imposing duties on
5 the Bureau of Topographic and Geologic Survey; and
6 prescribing penalties and fees," further providing for rules
7 and regulations.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. Section 12 of the act of May 29, 1956 (1955
11 P.L.1840, No.610), known as the Water Well Drillers License Act,
12 is amended to read:
13 Section 12. The department is hereby authorized, empowered
14 and directed to effectuate the provisions of this act and to
15 adopt, amend and rescind such reasonable rules and regulations,
16 including rules and regulations pertaining to the prevention of
17 pollution of ground water and protection of water supplies, as
18 may be necessary to accomplish the purposes of this act.
19 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
