                                     AN ACT

     1  Repealing certain acts relating to gypsies.

     2     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     3  hereby enacts as follows:
     4  Section 1.  Repeals.
     5     The following acts are repealed:
     6     The act of May 6, 1909 (P.L.445, No.247), entitled "An act to
     7  require roving bands of nomads, commonly called gypsies, and the
     8  persons composing such bands, who have no permanent place of
     9  abode in this Commonwealth, to take out a license to pitch or
    10  settle their encampments, or carry on their transactions or
    11  practice their craft, within the limits of any county of this
    12  State, fixing the amount of such license, and prescribing the
    13  penalty for violation of the same.
    14     The act of April 7, 1927 (P.L.144, No.114), entitled "An act
    15  authorizing boards of health to require roving bands, or bands
    16  of nomads, commonly called gypsies, declared to be nuisances or


     1  menaces to health, to leave municipalities, and providing
     2  penalties.
     3  Section 2.  Effective date.
     4     This act shall take effect immediately.
