                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further defining reckless
     3     endangerment.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 2705 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 2705.  Recklessly endangering another person.
     9     A person commits a misdemeanor of the second degree if he
    10  recklessly engages in conduct which places or may place another
    11  person in danger of death or serious bodily injury. Recklessness
    12  and danger shall be presumed where a person knowingly points a
    13  firearm at or in the direction of another person, whether or not
    14  the actor believed the firearm to be loaded.
    15     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
