AN ACT
1 Prohibiting the imposition of per capita taxes on certain
2 elderly and disabled persons.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Tax prohibited; elderly, disabled.
6 Notwithstanding any statute to the contrary, no school
7 district or municipality may impose a per capita or similar head
8 tax upon persons 60 years of age or older or upon persons who
9 are receiving Social Security disability payments from the
10 Federal Government.
11 Section 2. Repeals.
12 All acts or parts of acts are repealed insofar as they are
13 inconsistent with this act.
14 Section 3. Effective date.
15 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
