AN ACT
1 Amending the act of November 1, 1971 (P.L.495, No.113), entitled
2 "An act providing for the compensation of county officers in
3 counties of the second through eighth classes, for the
4 disposition of fees, for filing of bonds in certain cases and
5 for duties of certain officers," increasing the salary of
6 county officers holding two or more offices.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Section 11 of the act of November 1, 1971
10 (P.L.495, No.113), entitled "An act providing for the
11 compensation of county officers in counties of the second
12 through eighth classes, for the disposition of fees, for filing
13 of bonds in certain cases and for duties of certain officers,"
14 reenacted and amended October 7, 1976 (P.L.1101, No.223), is
15 amended to read:
16 Section 11. Where any of the officers herein mentioned hold
17 two or more of the offices for which a salary is herein fixed,
18 he shall receive the highest salary fixed for any one of the
19 offices which he holds, plus an additional amount of [one
1 thousand dollars ($1,000)] three thousand dollars ($3,000) TWO <--
2 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000) per annum. THE PERIODIC SALARY <--
3 INCREASES PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 10.1 OF THIS ACT SHALL BE
4 APPLICABLE TO THIS SECTION.
5 Section 2. This act shall be applicable to any such officer
6 when permitted by the Constitution of the Commonwealth of
7 Pennsylvania.
8 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
