A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1 Memorializing the Governor to appoint a committee of certain 2 persons to study and make recommendations on the several 3 problems associated with Alzheimer's dementia. 4 WHEREAS, Alzheimer's dementia is a presenile dementia which
1 afflicts many of the citizens of this Commonwealth and about 2 which little is known; it is an affliction which creates several 3 socio-economic problems within this Commonwealth, both for the 4 victims of the disease and for the persons charged with their 5 care; therefore be it 6 RESOLVED (the Senate concurring), That the Governor appoint a 7 committee composed of members of the medical and health services 8 professions who specialize in geriatric care, of members of the 9 Department of Health, Department of Aging and Department of 10 Public Welfare, of family members of victims and of members of 11 the General Assembly who represent equally each chamber and each 12 political party; and be it further 13 RESOLVED, That this committee shall study and make 14 recommendations before December 31, 1985, on the several 15 problems associated with Alzheimer's dementia, including 16 recommendations for action to provide adequate care and support 17 of persons afflicted with this disease.
